Mo sleeps on it for homeless fundraiser
CLAHRC North West Coast Patient & Public Involvement Advisor Mo Thomas took part in a recent Sleepout event; to raise money for those who find themselves homeless.
The sponsored event was aimed at increasing awareness of homelessness and raising much needed funds for The Whitechapel Centre and its work with people who find themselves on the streets across the city of Liverpool. Dozens of people made themselves temporary beds with whatever could be found under the Liver Buildings last Friday and spent the night raising cash through competitions such as the Best Onesie.
Mo, who has already raised £130, said: “There is nothing like sleeping rough to give you an insight into homelessness and it’s easy to see that without the work of the Whitechapel Centre how much trouble people would find themselves in. It was a great event to be involved in.”
